Sneak Peak- Student Housing Project

This is a project I have been working on for the last few months it is high end student housing. The project is 1/2 reuse and 1/2 new construction. The original building was a old defunct Armory it will have 1/2 the units consisting of 2-3 bedroom apartments  On the same property we are building a new construction which will include 2- 4 bedroom apartments, in all there will be 303 beds in the project.

I wish this was my apartment for my student day, the apartment is almost 1200 square feet and its own washer and dryer! More pictures to come as we get a little bit further.

Updating

Lots of new ideas swirling in the head and in the works.  In the midst of updating my studio space in Syracuse. The Boutique in Skaneateles is getting a total overhaul and moving location in the same building next month.

Window Treatment Installation

A project that just was installed in my clients home I took some quick photos of the after.

Family room I used a fabulous Kathryn Ireland fabric. Challenges=a beam to work around so size mattered,originally my client was sure she was unable to have window treatments in this room. Very simple tailored valance with a contrast in the pleats the simplicity of the valances really lets the fabric shine.

In the kitchen we used a wonderful large print for the valance and added some ticking stripe as the contrast in the pleats and banding. My clients and I had helped them with the kitchen design had just installed a new kitchen. It included gutted the whole space, new cabinets,  layout and tried to open the kitchen into the dining room  as much structural possible. We used the same fabric in both rooms to unify the space but fabricated in different treatments.

This the awesome tape we used on the leading edge of the panels.

More to come of this home I am presently working on the living room.
