Ginger jar trend… or is it?

I have been seeing a lot of ginger jars popping up, the blue and white is always so fresh in the spring and summer. It had been a long time decorating staple by designers and given the historic history of the jars, I guess saying it is a trend is not correct.

The Ginger jars history:  In the late 19th century the jars became a popular product for export. A ginger jar is a Chinese porcelain jar with a wide mouth, a domed lid and a bulging, spherical body. They used the jars to hold all sorts of items including ginger hence the name.

Love how these Ginger Jars are incorporated into the design of these rooms. Think I need to start adding some blue and white splendor to my designs.
